Capt. John Richard Booth MiD.

British Army 1st Battalion Green Howards

from:Middlesbrough

John Booth, known as Dick was my father-in-law. He served in the Far East and Italy. He was a prisoner of war in both, escaping in Italy. He was Mentioned in Despatches.

Additional Information:

He was awarded the Military Cross which is inscribed on the reverse as Sub Lieutenant J R Booth Green Howards 1940 ( we think as the last number is quite faint.)
